The Similarities between coaching and mentoring
Coaching and mentoring have similar objectives
One important similarity between coaching and mentoring is that both aim the same which is to improve the performance of the coachees or mentees. Though these 2 issues and conducted in different circumstances, they aim the same. Coaching and mentoring both aim to improve the skills, perception, attitude of the candidate so that they can perform better in the organization and can be a good citizen. Coaching and mentoring both will play significant role in Healthcare international to improve their overwhelming situations.
Both aims not to solve problems, rather enable coachee/mentee to crack the problems
A significant feature of both coaching and mentoring is that they do not aim to solve the problems instantly, rather they build capabilities among the coachees and mentees to understand and solve the problems themselves. On the other hand, training or other methods of development aims to solve the problems, such ease solutions do not build capabilities among employees. Therefore, adopting coaching and mentoring will increase capability and sustainability of the employees through enabling the employees to solve the problems now and in future.

Both are conducted by more experienced person
Another potential similarity of coaching and mentoring is that both engage the experienced employees to coach/mentor the coachees/mentees through advising, developing, explaining and demonstrating to build problem solving abilities. The experienced persons are generally from inside the leaders of the company. Healthcare International also have a range of experienced person in their top leadership. Such people will play important role to educate the employees who are working in different layers at the company. In both case, age of the mentor or coach does not matter, the only fact that matter is their knowledge.
Both can be conducted without expenses:
Professional training, corporate training costs a company in terms of time, money and resources because trainers have to be paid, a sitting arrangement is necessary for such training. On the other hand, coaching and mentoring can be conducted with available resources inside the company, this means a company doesn’t need to spend money for coaching and mentoring. Generally, experienced and knowledgeable people play the role of a coach or mentor who make arrangement inside the company to educate the mentees or coachees. They take the issue as a fact of honor because everyone respect them as a teacher. Healthcare has a number of experienced leaders who are working in the same company for years, such leaders can play the role of mentor or coach, and as a result the company doesn’t need to spend anything for coaching or mentoring.
